As part of activities marking his second anniversary in office, the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, on Thursday, distributed various empowerment items to constituents of Aba Central State Constituency.

Items distributed at the event which held at Aba Town Hall in Aba included motorcycles, industrial sewing machines, refrigerators, gas cookers, and other essential tools to support small-scale enterprises and improve livelihoods.

The event, held in Aba, was an appreciation and empowerment gathering aimed at thanking the people of Aba Central for their continued support and prayers.
Prior to the main event, the Speaker had earlier given out ₦5,000 worth of fuel each to thousands of tricycle (Keke) and motorcycle (Okada) riders across Aba—a move widely praised by beneficiaries.

Speaking during the distribution, Rt. Hon. Emeruwa reaffirmed his commitment to responsive and impactful representation.

“This is just our way of saying thank you to the people of Aba Central. We are committed to a representation that combines effective legislation with direct empowerment,” he said.

List of Beneficiaries Includes:
 1. Executive members of the Labour Party (LP) in Aba South Local Government Area.
 2. LP Ward Executives from Wards 1 to 7.
 3. Selected individuals from the 13 communities of Aba South LGA.
 4. Youth groups across the constituency.
 5. Pro-Labour Party groups and support organizations.
 6. Members of Ezumezu Aba La Ohazu.
 7. Key stakeholders and select friends of the Speaker.
