BENJAMIN OKEZIE KALU: A STEADY RISE
Whoever sees Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu and says he did not see anyone is suffering from an incurable malaise which may not have a natural cure. Their matter is in the hands of God. So help them God.
Today, by Presidential proclamation, declaration and decoration, inside the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly, Utabiri Bende and Enyi Abia becomes a Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (CFR).
During the celebration of the country's independence on October 1, 2024, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had conferred Hon. Kalu with the National Honour of the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).
Those discerning knew that the conferment was not the destination but a brief rest-stop on the journey to the inevitable greatness of a man ordained by God for greatness.
Today, Thursday, June 12, 2025, eight months after he was named CON, Hon. Kalu has been decorated by the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR as a Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR), the third highest honour bestowable by the Federal Republic of Nigeria on an individual, after GCFR and GCON.
Historians chronicling the trajectory of Abians will acknowledge this development as an epochal milestone in the evolution of the State and it's citizens.
The contributions of Hon. Kalu to the evolution of the 4th Republic especially the admirable discharge of his duties as Deputy Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives has been well documented.
Today, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu takes another step towards his ordained appointment with history and destiny.
Today, another feather is added to the brim of a towering collosus.
Today, another statement is made. Ochiagha Isiala, the Nation sees you, the Nation acknowledges you. The Nation honours you.
Rise The Rt. Honourable Benjamin Okezie Kalu.
