OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU: MIDTERM PERFORMANCE AND STATE OF THE NATION (SONS OF NIGERIA)

SONS OF NIGERIA.
His Excellency,
Alhaji. Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Aso Rock Presidential Villa
Abuja, Nigeria

Dear Mr. President,

On behalf of the SONS OF NIGERIA, we extend our warmest congratulations to you on your commendable achievements during your mid-term assessment. Your leadership has ushered in significant progress across various sectors, and we appreciate your unwavering commitment to the development of our great nation.

We acknowledge the successful completion and commissioning of key infrastructure projects that have been pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for our citizens. The expansion of the road networks, the revitalization of the railway systems, and the ongoing efforts in the power sector are commendable strides towards ensuring sustainable economic growth. These projects not only create jobs but also foster connectivity and trade, which are essential for our national development.
Furthermore, we applaud your administration's efforts in stabilizing the Naira and managing our national debts. The measures taken to enhance fiscal responsibility and promote economic stability are crucial for restoring investor confidence and ensuring the prosperity of our nation. Your dedication to addressing these economic challenges demonstrates a proactive approach to governance that prioritizes the welfare of all Nigerians.

However, we wish to address the recent declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State. While we understand the complexities surrounding security challenges and the need for decisive action, we urge you to reconsider this decision. A state of emergency can often lead to unintended consequences, including the erosion of civil liberties and the potential for increased tensions among the populace.
We believe that dialogue and collaboration with local leaders and stakeholders in Rivers State may yield more effective and sustainable solutions to the challenges at hand. Engaging the community in discussions can foster trust and cooperation, ultimately leading to a more peaceful and secure environment.

In closing, we commend your leadership and the progress made thus far. We stand ready to support your administration in its efforts to build a prosperous and united Nigeria. We are hopeful that you will take our concerns into consideration and explore alternative strategies to address the issues in Rivers State.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to your continued leadership in steering our nation towards greater heights.

Yours sincerely,
HRH. Ovie Omeleh.
Director General
Olayiwola Olowodola
Secretary.
