In recognition of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's impactful leadership, The Niger Delta Progressive Alliance organized a high level summit to mark two years of transformative governance. The summit was themed " Two years of stewardship-Tinubu's Footprint in the Niger Delta" and was held on the 18th of July, 2025 at Hotel presidential, Port Harcourt city, Rivers State.
The Programme started at exactly 10am and a welcome address was taken by Ambassador NSE Victor Udoh, the Convener and Coordinator of the programme. Wherein he commended the efforts of the president stating clearly that the Niger Delta is experiencing genuine recovery ever since the president was sworn in. He ended his speech by encouraging guests, stakeholders and other dignitaries to work together in order to promote peaceful coexistence.
Various Personalities and dignitaries who were present at the summit gave goodwill messages,some of which included HRM King Berechiri, Yemaiyaye, the king of Ancient Borokiri Kingdom, Port Harcourt town, Chief Emmanuel Nwikine, King of Khana Kingdom, Ogoni, Engineer Jator Abido, National Coordinator, Niger Delta Youth Council worldwide, Princess Adetutu Mafimishebi, Ondo state representative, Niger Delta Progressive Alliance,Barrister Olomu Noris, State coordinator, Niger Delta Progressive Alliance, Bayelsa State and King.Engineer Abiye Iyo JO, Amayanabo of Omubara Ibiama 1 of Etche in Okrika Kingdom also gave a goodwill speech, wherein he commended the president for his efforts in reducing illegal bunkery and promoting pipeline infrastructure thus increasing Nigeria's Oil production by fully implementing the Petroleum industry Act (PIA ) and issuing executive orders to slash oil production cost.
The event not only served as a platform to recognize President Tinubu’s developmental strides in the Niger Delta but also fostered a renewed spirit of unity, dialogue, and collaboration among key stakeholders. As the Niger Delta Progressive Alliance continues to champion peaceful progress in the region, the summit stands as a testament to the power of collective advocacy and national support. Attendees departed with a shared commitment to sustaining the momentum of transformation and ensuring that the gains of the past two years are both preserved and expanded in the years to come.
