At the 2025 Annual General Meeting and Elections of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), held at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, Plateau State, the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, stood among the nation’s finest minds — a symbol of the fusion between intellectual depth and operational excellence.
Held under the visionary theme “Towards a New Nigeria,” and presided over by the National President, Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, the event brought together eminent policy shapers and thought leaders united in their commitment to national rebirth and transformation. Since assuming office, Professor Audi has led the NSCDC through a transformative era — championing reforms in training, operational intelligence, inter-agency collaboration, and critical infrastructure protection. His visionary leadership has repositioned the Corps as a responsive and strategic institution in Nigeria’s internal security architecture.
